Dana Braithwaite

Dana is a COSRT Sen Accredited Sexual and Relationship Psychotherapist and Sen Accredited Supervisor, specialising in couples and individuals presenting with Psychosexual problems, including loss of desire, all pain conditions, inability to have intimacy, fear of intimacy, male sexual distress, sexual abuse and assault related impact, relationship crisis and disharmony.

Dana has a thriving private practice, with 8 years’ experience in an NHS hospital working with Consultants’ in the care of women’s’ vulval pain conditions, including endometriosis, gynae conditions, infertility, cancer, menopause, trauma and post birth trauma.  She delivered Psychosexual Awareness training to junior doctors and other health professionals, organising wider training with specialist speakers to therapists. Dana ran a successful CPD training programme at UCLAN on forensic sexual offending.

She qualified in sex and porn compulsive behaviours ‘addiction’ 12 years ago and works with 18+, she went on to be a Co-Founder, Trustee, and former Chair of a national charity, StopSO.UK, for those who seek help for internet offending behaviour, and supporting their families. Facilitating conferences for therapists, police, governors, and criminal justice nationally. A member of the professional body COSRT for 28 years, Dana has been a Trustee for 9 years and currently COSRT Vice Chair. Her current position is Clinical Lead in an NHS Psychosexual Medicine and Therapy Clinic. and worked previously in Sexual Health for over 20 years. Diversity and neuro-diversity aware.
