Carol Adebesi

Hi there. My name is Carol, I’m a qualified psychotherapeutic counsellor and a member of the NCS governing body. I ensure I work ethically and follow its guidelines.

I work predominately as a person-centred therapist and am able to work and integrate with other modalities if and when the need arises. This allows the work to be holistic and truly individual to you as a client. It also aims to attend to your emotional wellbeing and psychological health requirements.

My working background is within nursing and holistic therapies. I’ve always had a desire to connect with and work with people. It’s a privilege to work with individuals and walk alongside them in their counselling journey.

In this busy, fast-paced, and uncertain world, we can all find ourselves having moments when it can feel overwhelming, challenging and uncertain and need to reach out for support.

I provide counselling to individuals who have been finding certain aspects of their lives challenging and feel that now is the time for them to work things through in therapy.

I aim to provide and a safe and non-judgemental space where you can have the time to reflect and explore all that might be going on and find and come to the conclusions you are seeking.

I work with a varied client base, treating conditions related to depression, anxiety, stress (which may be related to relationships), family dynamics, work and grief and loss (this is a broad area as it can be related to the death of a pet or person or the loss of a job or relationship and can impact individuals in many different ways).

Feeling stuck or unsure of which direction you are heading (either by yourself or with your partner), and constantly worrying about many things, which confuse you every day, can make your life even more unmanageable. Very often you might feel unmotivated, can’t focus on an important task at work or college have difficulties sleeping.

Listening is often the only thing needed to help.
