Vick Charles

I qualified with a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of Liverpool in 2013 and I spent the early years of my career working in NHS Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services. It is here that I developed my interest in working with childhood trauma and attachment issues.

In 2019 I left the NHS and began working within private practice. I currently enjoy working with young people and with adults who may be experiencing a range of difficulties including low mood, depression, anxiety, work related stress, trauma and childhood trauma, and grief and loss.

I offer an integrative therapeutic approach which recognises the individual experience of each person. I work predominately with Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Compassion Focussed Therapy (CFT), and I have undertaken further training in these therapeutic modalities.

I believe in the value of the therapeutic relationship in helping people to address the challenges they are facing in a compassionate, supportive, and non-judgemental space. I am passionate about helping people to live a meaningful life in line with their values.
