Hello, I’m Annette. I’m a Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapist (CBH) and I’d like to help you start living and loving the life YOU want.
CBH combines the well-proven and effective Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) techniques with the relaxing and empowering benefits of Hypnotherapy, to safely deliver quick, positive and life-enhancing results. CBH is proven to be particularly effective at tackling a range of issues such as overcoming anxieties, lack of self-confidence, sleep disorders, managing stress, pain relief and conquering unwanted habits and phobias. I work collaboratively with my clients and use a variety of effective techniques, including hypnosis, CBT, relaxation, mindfulness, assertiveness training and problem solving, to help them address their issues and achieve their desired goals.
I have particular interest and expertise in helping clients overcome feelings of social anxiety and fear of public speaking (glossophobia). Before re-training as a Hypnotherapist, I’d spent over 30 years working as a TV Producer, so I really understand the overwhelming pressures you can feel when you’re out of your comfort zone and expected to “perform”. I’ve helped many TV presenters, experts and contributors find their inner self-confidence and witnessed the positive impact this has had on both their career and quality of life. Now I’d like to use my unique experience to help you flourish and start living the life you want and deserve.
I appreciate that looking for a Hypnotherapist can be quite daunting and confusing, but it’s important that the therapist you choose is someone you feel you can trust and work with. I know what it’s like to ask someone for help, and this first-hand experience has influenced my therapeutic approach. The therapy I provide will be bespoke and designed to address your specific needs and we will work together to achieve the positive changes and results you want. Typically, the best results are achieved within 3 – 6 sessions (if the issue is particularly complex, then more might be needed) and I offer 3 session packages to prepare for specific public speaking challenges eg. a Father of the Bride speech!
