BIO
Back in 2018 when I first fell pregnant, my deep rooted fear of needles, blood and anything medical, lead me to researching into ‘going private’ to see if I could have a general anaesthetic, be given a caesarean and handed a baby at the end. I essentially wanted to be knocked out, and given a baby when it was all over. I thought that this was the only way that I could completely control the birth situation and the only way that I could have a positive experience.
Then I heard about hypnobirthing, and long story short, I did a complete u-turn. I wanted to have my baby at home.
Now what I want you to take from this story, is not that hypnobirthing helps you to have a homebirth. What I hope you can see is that it gifted me a complete change in mindset. I went from being absolutely petrified about birth, to feeling confident, knowledgeable and excited (yes excited!) to give birth. All thanks to hypnobirthing.
I trained with the Katherine Graves school of hypnobirthing which is accredited by the Royal College of Midwives and I offer a 4 week hypnobirthing course which aims to provide you with everything you’ll need to go into birth feeling confident, knowledgeable and prepared.
Session 1: The physiology and psychology of birth
Session 2: Relaxation tools
Session 3: Preparing for every eventuality
Session 4: Your birth plan
