Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

Cognitive behavioural therapy, otherwise known as CBT, is a type of therapy centred around talking. Commonly used to help treat those suffering with depression and anxiety, CBT can also assist with other mental health issues, along with physical health.

How does CBT work?

CBT revolves around the idea that all feelings, thoughts, actions and sensations are connected, and that people can become trapped in a cycle of negative feelings and thoughts. This therapy helps you to deal with these vicious thoughts and problems more positively by breaking them down into more manageable, smaller parts while helping you to break out of these patterns.

While some talking therapies deal with past issues, CBT focuses on the current problems in your life, looking for practical approaches to improve your mindset.
